Purple Friday's Letters

Its Friday before the Super Bowl and as you can imagine, my hometown is in Purple and Black heaven.
Every hospital picture I have seen, every person at the mall, everyone that I have seen on social media has had the Purple and Black fever! We are super duper excited.

So hype in fact that Baltimore schools are already posting late start times for Monday with anticipation of a Super Bowl win.
Jimmy Fallon's fail proof puppy bowl even predicted The Ravens will win.
I am just glad some national media is FINALLY showing us love because I swear, I don't know why but we are the most hated team!

Even my co-worker...
He clearly has it out for the Ravens.
May be because we beat them!
It's ok - at this point there is only two teams that you can cheer for this season and we accept all bandwagon fans at this time.

And so, as I prepare my home for a Super Bowl BONANZA! please let me leave with you with some letters for the weekend.

Dear Hubby, This week you have showed me what balance is. I mean, to come home from work and dinner is ready because you had the follow through to put the chicken in the crock pot after I placed it out was amazing! I was so thankful that day because 1. it was so good and 2. I was so tired, I really didn't feel like cooking anything.

And hubby, can I just say that yesterday - I had the opportunity to come to your rehearsal. First time in a long time and I got the chance to see how far you have come from when you first started as a Minister of Music until now and your confidence is amazing. Your leadership has really changed the way things are done. So I definitely sat there watching and proud. The choir, the praise team, the band - all sound amazing especially to be taking direction from one person- you.

Dear Ravens, You ALREADY KNOW how much you mean to me. I have no doubt in my heart that you guys will be victorious. At least I can't let it creep into my heart - its way too soon for that. And so, Super Bowl Sunday here we come!

I have so much more that I want to say, but so little time as I have to head out for Purple Friday festivities. But all my best! Have a wonderful Ravens Nation Day!

  2. I'm rooting for the Ravens too. I have to ask a Ravens fan...do you think Ray Lewis is fake crying. It is dramatic but I just figured he's emotional! I don't think he's faking it.

  4. Hey, I am not cheering for anyone in particular, but I will go for the Ravens because it means so much to you. It may also have something to do with my weird requirement that numbers do not make sense as a mascot for a team. Oh well. I am more excited about the food. I am also glad that God is blessing your Hubby in his minstry. Continue to glorify Him.
