About

Hi I'm Jasmine, and I love to Blog!
Blogging as you know is a journal like form of writing and expression that helps me get out some thoughts that I may not normally be able to express. It allows me to feed my inate desire to write and is the outlet that so many of us need to get us through the normalcies of life. It also helps me to laugh out loud about the various things that I see and DO!

Following working in corporate at a major television network, travelling all over the country and holding down at least 5 locations of that network... working in Travel & Finance, I eventually landed my dream job.
I am a Federal Officer. I Love what I do and it wasn't until this year, 8 years post grad that I was finally able to work in the field of study that I majored in. I understand what it means to work hard and try new things until it just clicks for you. I never set out with a plan for my life but ended up with this one and I am pretty darn happy.

In highschool, I went to a School for the Arts and majored in Visual Arts- so I love crafty things: photography and painting from time to time. In college it translated into Fashion and studied Merchandising before switching my major to Criminal Justice. (my thought- we gotta pay some bills and there is always crime, plus my favorite shows are Law and Order and when ER was on, I knew then I was not cut out for the Medical field and Greys Anatomy has definitely confirmed that for me greatly).

Either who, I worked for the State Prosecutor right out of college, quit one day because I was thouroughly unhappy because I knew I was smart enough to BE the prosecutor so onward and upward for me. Took a detour to Chicago and lived there for a few years and came back to my hometown because of the love of my life... my best friend.

We turned our friendship into courting and got married exactly 3 years later on August 7, 2010.

With living life comes challenges to overcome: for us it was buying a house, building a house with specific requests, moving out of my parents house, communication strengthening in a marriage to your best friend, who is also a professional musician, finding new jobs that speak to our abilities and destiny and then... starting a family... On December 10, 2013 our daughter was born and our life forever was changed.

This blog was started to capture all of that and the in between.
Why this blog title??... well when I was a little girl, my mom was not around to wake me up for school because she used to be a morning radio announcer... and each morning we would listen to her program on the way to school. Her way of waking us up in the morning would be to say on the air, "Hello, Good Morning Sunshine"...and so... with each morning that you log in... I may not see you out there reading, but I pray that you are enjoying it and leave a comment... and so since I can't see you, just like my mom I say to you... "Hello, Good Morning Sunshine!"

I LOVE to laugh so stick around for a while and say hi!
Welcome to Hello, Good Morning Sunshine
