It's Time for a Makeover

My husband and I have been in our new home for a year now.

We were all gung ho in the beginning and knocked out a lot of the painting of our main living spaces but now its time to finish at least one room.

I think that it should be our bedroom first.

I have been pinning lately a few things that I would like to do -

I dont have a great picture of how our bedroom looks currently, but I will do my best to kind of give you a visual.

This is our bedroom: back when we first moved and decided to paint it.

We have dark furniture in our bedroom, that honestly needs to be touched up with some love - I really want to replace the bed, but that is not happening any time soon, so I keep toying with the idea of recovering the headboard and baseboard.

I have been toying with painting a darker colored accent wall behind our bed -

I'm thinking of something like this:

Then we have a sitting area to the left side of our bed that I have been trying to find the right thing to put there and not making it look too crowded - I have been thinking of something similar to this day bed look in this bedroom:

And we definitely need accessories, new bedding for the cooler months, something to go above our bed, curtains and we want to repaint our master bathroom...

Guess I really need to get started.

Its one of those projects that if I mention it to the husband he will lose all motivation and we won't get started for 3 months. I think I am just going to have to take the bull by the horns and just start stockpiling some things to go in our room - especially during Memorial Day (SALES!)
